| DEPALMA, KADAR SCORE WINS AT SIR'S LUCAS OIL DRAG RACING SERIES EVENT Tucson Arizona. (march 7th 2009) Mike DePalma and Tibor Kadar carried their #1 qualifying efforts into the winners circle at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event presented by Budweiser at Southwestern International Raceway. Glendale Arizona resident DePalma took home the hardware in Comp Eliminator, wheeling his '98 Firebird to the win over Dean Carter, another Glendale racer. Kadar, a resident of Peoria Arizona, scores the win in Super Stock over Ryan McClanahan of upland California. Steve Wann, Modesto California, earned the win in Stock Eliminator as he knocked out the category's best qualifier, Scott Burton, Golden Colorado. Andrew Madrid, Chatsworth California, Ousted Gabriel Torres, La Puente California, in the Super Comp final and in Super Gas Mike Ferderer, Buckley Washington got the win over Michel Miller of Santa Fe New Mexico. The Super Street went to Patric McHenery of Mesa Arizona, When he beat Joe Kidd of Marana Arizona. Top Sportsman racer Brad Wagner, Henderson Nevada, beat Gary Forkner, Temecula California, in the final while Mera Silvia, Upland California scored the win in Top Dragster over Mike MacBrair, Napa California. LaVeme California racer Gary Moreno rode his '06 Harley to the Sportsman Motorcycle win, Beating out Tracy Baily of Coos Bay Oregon In the Pro Modified exhibition race, Dennis Radford, Baker city Oregon, drove his '70 Duster to the win over Rod Pearce of Granite Bay California, behind the wheel of his '63 Corvette NHRA PACIFIC DIVISION LUCAS OIL DRAG RACING SERIES competitors will head to Las Vegas for the next event. The strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will host the first of two Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events, April 10th - 12th. The second is slated for November 5th - 8th. |
