Hello Friends,
This season begins on a sad note. You see this event is a benefit event, And this year the special
person is Cherokee Pizano. Unfortunately Cherokee passed away of cancer before she had a chance to
attend the event. My prayers go out to her family. Cherokee's favorite car is the 1967 fast back featured in
the movie ( Gone in 60 Seconds) affectionately known as Eleanor.
The show was scheduled for Saturday, January 23, there was something for everyone and featuring over
100 show cars, classic cars, custom trucks, roadsters, muscle cars and race cars from as far north as
White Salmon Washington to as far south as the California border. This year, American Graffiti fans saw a
four car display including the original 51’ Pharos Merc that was featured in the classic movie. Also, local
rod builder Don Pyle return with two of his creations including his popular 41’ Willies and a new rat rod. All
in all it was a great event and the proceeds always go to a great cause.
